" Mirtazapine is the worst for weight gain, particularly as it also makes you prone to retaining water and bloating. It's a dreadful drug. I'm on three different medications that tend to make people gain weight but I've done pretty well losing it, gradually, this year. Right up until being forced to switch from the combined pill to the mini pill. My moods are in turmoil, my energy is all over the place, my sleep is even more screwed than usual and my eating is totally out of control. I've been back to the doctor twice but I'm getting dismissive, 'It'll settle down, eventually. Probably' noises so far.

Did you forget you had them? I have eaten a Christmas pudding in June before. " No, I knew they were there, it's the cupboard with my spices including pepper in, so I'm on it more or less every day. Occasionally, I'll let my daughter have one, but I prefer to buy her the odd treat when we are out, than have a massive supply of them in the house. Odd "hungry" days aside, if I want a sweet thing, I'll have fruit.

And to be fair, if I do, I tend to want to stop off for beer on the way home (hard work makes me thirsty!) and the local Nisa has a couter run by the local butcher, so I will tend to buy some steak or something, and maybe a pie for pudding....and having eaten those, I won't think anout the penguins...

It doesn't really matter for cheap chocolate but don't put the really good stuff in the fridge.

"I'm supposed to be on a diet but I've crumbled this afternoon and eaten a bag of chocolate buttons. I enjoyed being naughty but regret it now. I need more discipline and am still looking for a personal trainer. There's usually a thread with some man offering to be a personal trainer. Tomorrow is another day. " Yes, will be good tomorrow Probably not the best place to be looking for a PT

" I wasn't hungry, I'd had something sweet (mango) but when I went to put something in the cupboard a Toblerone fell out. I had two triangles last week and then forgot about it. Tonight there's only the box left. Do you have days when you just can't stop? Absolutely. I can eat what I want, but, I don't seem to put weight on. Eat me and then I'll sit on you. You'll see what it's like to put weight on. Signed, Short-Fat Bint. " you're delicious.. signed beardie old bloke

"I don't drink but the free cocktails in my hotel tonight and the overwhelming 100 degrees weather have turned me all queer. I nibbled the strawberries and noticed the staff having replacements for vodka bottles brought in. Surely glass can't leak booze that quickly? My heads spinning just thinking about it. At least toblerone is at least two of your five a day - cocoa and plant pollen in honey. " How's your head today Sophie? x

Tonight there's only the box left. Do you have days when you just can't stop? " I've had years when I just couldn't stop! I lost 20kg when I developed type 2 diabetes, which has now reversed. I met the other half a fitness nut and continued to lose weight, but there are times I used to binge when I still had periods and craved something sweet, I don't now. That said, was clearing out my desk drawer at work, slowly sorting out my detritus prior to retiring in three months, and found a pack of maple pecan cookies. I ate all twelve, didn't touch the sides, and washed them down with my lunch...Banana Slimfast!
