I always make the effort to read a persons profile and write a message with effort, provided it's not a ranting profile, but..

To those that write a novel on your profile, why!?!?

And do people actually read the whole thing?

If it's too long you're not compatible.

Nope.

I click the back button after about 5 lines and look elsewhere.

Brighton - even Hove!

My real profile is long. It acts as a self fulfilling filter. If someone can't be bothered to read it, I can't be bothered to meet them. At least, that's what I decided before I changed it to this shit profile. I might write 'cabbages and Kings' 33 times as it makes not a joy of difference.

"If it's too long you're not compatible. "

exactly couldn't have put it better myself .

Your profile is a snap shot of who you are it only has to attract some one who thinks like you .

Remember like attracts like ,

Why? Cos it's their ad and they want to and they not charged per character used

Well, considering my profile is pretty much just an attempt to say I probably won't message back and don't meet very often at all then if they can't be arsed to read it they only have themselves to blame when I fail to respond to their message. In fact I'm betting if I changed it to "I probably won't respond to your message or ever meet you" they still wouldn't bother reading it.

West Wales

Ours is quite long & it was longer, tbh it'll stay that long to. Says what we want etc.

We'd rather that than saying little & then having to say it on PM's individually anyway??

Blokes still didn't read it though & would message us, so your all blocked..

IMO about a sonnets worth of lines is just enough to put across everything you need people to know...

anything less shows you don't care either way and anything more shows you cant make your mind up

I have a long profile but that's coz I like to put it out there who I am what I want and what I like so I don't have to keep going over it over and over again

People who dont read it I don't bother paying much attention to and that's id I bother replying

I find it ignorant that I've taken the tine to write about myself and people cbt be arsed to read

At the end of the day the info is there for a reason

Cause I can.

And I've no idea but it certainly sorts out the wheat from the chaff.

As we're a couple we have to describe both of us but we try to be concise as we can, so it's difficult to make it short. Plus it's a filter, it's too long for someone, they're not for us.

"Remember like attracts like"

Like magnetism: north and south - oh wait.

Like electricity: positive and negative - oh wait.

Like gravity. Yeah, that's it.

"Honey, I'm attracted to your gravitational pull."

Should go down well

Profiles reflect not who a person is, but either how they see themselves, or how they would like to be seen. So, to me, a very long profile is simply so much drivel.

Mine's mahoosive - read it or don't. But I'll know if I'm messaged by a guy who hasn't bothered and has just looked at the pics.

Those who message saying 'Amazing tits babe' don't ever get to play with them

Ours is approaching novella length, however we often receive complimentary messages from folk. To be honest it's a whole load of nonsense but it makes us smile x

Mines is long and I have many lovely eye catching messages in return as well but I don't think I'm being a smart ass I kinda just say what I like without overstepping, I do hope my sense of humour comes through but I do find that I still have messages saying they the magic 3 words only.

But I do try to reply esp when my fingers feel numb lol

Good things come in small packages sometimes.

Even though I do read some profiles, too much blah blah blah gets rather tedious and makes me want to take up basket weaving instead
