It's some of the most beautiful prose I've ever read, the story-telling, the characters, the lore and world-building are all incredibly well done. | |||

If you fancy some Fantasy, I recommend The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss.

Currently reading biography's. Neal Armstrong & Grouch Marx depending on my mood."Aye it's one of those books that's so good it's still worth a re-reading every few years. He wrote another book called Banco,all about his adventures as a citizen of Venezuela after his incarceration and many escape attempts. It's not quite as good as his first book,but an entertaining read nonetheless. | |||

Feel its worth a mention as he was a fellow Scot "He's possibly my favourite ever author. And The Crow Road is my favourite of his 'straight' novels; I'm on about my sixth copy since I keep giving it to people. If you're going for the sci-fi then Use Of Weapons might be the best one to start with. I don't normally go all in for non-fiction; I like an escapist read. But A Simple Story: Dancing for his Life by Leila Guerriero is bloody wonderful. All about the malambo dance competitions in rural Argentina. | |||
