If you look in Spain and worldwide forums, you will find loads of posts on GC. For a single guy, good place to go. If you're looking for 'fun' maybe similar to this country. Clubs limit single guys and you have to pay to get in.

They do have crime there, the same as anywhere else, just need to be careful and sensible, especially at night, as you would anywhere else.
