Good stuff I like them too. I recently started doing weighted pulls and it made a big difference. 3 rep max is with 5 added stone in weight

I'm playing it real careful with weights. Don't want knackered joints in a few years. It can be easy to do too much.

I'm doing a powerlifting programme at the moment (5/3/1)

I still do dips/pulls/chins as accessory excercises - I think a lot of lifters do. I managed 3 x 5 dips with a full plate on the belt recently.

How are you you finding the powerlifting? Any wear and tear? I'd like to possibly try it.

I like powerifting - although when I bulk, I'll run some hypertrophy work.

I have no wear and tear to speak of - that said, I'm very careful as an old dude who has had surgeries to increase weights sensibly/deload when I fail. All my injuries come from work....

That's fine. Men and women can share workouts. I asked the guys because I've notice a lot of women shy away from strength training.

Core training is cool. My fave core exercise is the front lever.

NB girls chime in too.

I am doing bodybuilding and I go to the gym 4 times a week and I change my workouts every week to confuse the muscle memory to see the gains and sometimes I do reverse training, which means what I normally do for the body part I start where I usually finish, it is fun and I go for the pump with high reps to 15.

I eat every 2hrs and I follow a carb cycling program. I do 30min of cardio a day to keep my 6pack shiny. It is all about getting big

Thanks and yes I have been doing it since I was 18, more than 15 years. It might be bro science there with the cardio, good one lol, yeah, the diet could be hard. I am using myfitnesspal to help me to see how much I have left to eat, which is handy, same here I also like them energy drinks. I drink lucozade and red bull.

It all depends on how much cardio you are doing and how much you are eating. Cardio is important for overall health, but if you are a hard gainer, you might want to limit cardio....

Anything that raises your heart rate burns calories. Cardio burns calories. However if you don't have sufficient calorie intake muscles will go catabolic fairly quickly. If you want to get big consume more calories is you want to lose mass/weight less calories. if your serious about training weights or otherwise. Get signed up to a gym and read online. There will more than likely be lots of people in any gym willing to help out with advice etc.

No haha. Broscience is a term to describe potentially false ideas about training that young 'bros' talk about. It's online fitness slang.

I use dumbells, barbells, weighted bags, kettle balls, metal chains, and a weighted keg for my workouts. I do weighted carries, squats, deadlifts, different pulls, and different pushes. It gives variety to the workouts which can lower overuse.

I am getting into power lifting.I use an app and have designed some workouts on the website and you basically design your days workout on the Web site and you can see the workout in the app.

However depending on how I feel...

Deadlines

Squats

Incline bench presses are my thing at the moment.

10 min's on the cycle and 10 min's on the treadmill before each one as long as I haven't killed my legs the day before
