Soul Train was/is ace. Easy to forget how important it was as a showcase for black music in those (troubled) times.

The dancing is, erm, unique, but nice to see people just doing what feels good, rather than something more studied or inhibited.

So says another vinyl collecting, DJing, kitchen based Soul Train dancer anyway

Actually, my favourite Soul Train moment might not be from the programme itself. Love this clip of The Byrds doing You Ain't Going Nowhere from a 60's show filmed at Hugh Hefner's mansion. It's a country song, but hats off to the dude who brings all his best Soul Train moves regardless.

He he....was a ballet and tap dancer as a kid and now I'm a line dancer...the girls got rhythm...my northern soul's not bad though!!

I could dance all night to Eddie Bo and James Brown

Kind of lol I was a bit younger than those people. I had a 3 piece suit and a silk two piece -white satin flares and a rainbow paisley satin,cut off sleeve top
