I've never heard any good points about Benidorm...

but if you want the typical 'brits abroad' holiday, then go for it

That's like anywhere then isn't it,depends what you want. It's not all typical Brits abroad,I was staying in the old town which is hugely Spanish. To be honest I wish I hadn't the Spanish I generalise here are loud. The British people were complaining at 3am in the morning because they were having parties in their rooms. The British were far more considerate,I know where not to stay if I go again.

Benidorm is what you make it ,there is loads to do and see from boat trips ,sightseeing tours .You can walk to the old town or take the local bus during the day .The beach is clean and has sunbeds but you have to pay for them .Loads of restaurants with all types of food on offer Chinese ,Indian etc .The nightlife is great with tribute acts/comedians/singers /hypnotists and bands on at most of the pubs . Admittedly there are large groups of stag's and hen's mostly in the British Square but there are quieter areas .If you want a quiet hotel try the adult only ones eg Flash or Ruidor . Most hotels have entertainment poolside during the day and entertainment at night.Unfortunately Benidorm does have its share of pickpockets and prostitutes just keep your eyes open and wits about you ,dont walk about alone late at night and only take enough money for your night out .Pm us if you want anymore info x Anna

I've seen sticky vickys daughter, she was good!! Also seen various tribute acts.

I've been once but I would not go again. Food is cheap and cheerful but there's a lot of rowdy groups of guys can be intimidating if your only with a couple of people

benidorm is alright, plenty to do, beach is very very busy. depends what your after. aqua park, themepark, sea world, shopping, clubs, bars. trips out, etc.

the only bad point i found about benidorm is its just so busy, and beach it too busy.

hence why i stay in the hills outside of benidorm, and visit other areas for the beach.

Benidorm is what you want it to be

Stay in the old town and you have your designers shops, expensive restaurants, quiet back Street bars.

Go to the other end and you have the water parks, stag and hen parties, themed pubs, cheap food etc...... This is the side most British tend to see Benidorm as, which is a shame really!

You can go around the headland to Calpe,Albir and Altea where the rich and famous live, few film stars etc

What ever you want your holiday to be, you can't go wrong with Benidorm and the surrounding areas.
