However, many will think the same as us and not be keen on the idea of people young enough to be their child or old enough to be their parent.

Age is quite important to me and I disagree with the notion that age is just a number.I like a certain confidence in a man, a level of maturity and a depth of experience those attributes are rare in anybody under 35 to 40.

So 4 years would be significant to me.

I saw a dowry / marriage document a few days ago for one of my clients at work. An 83 year old gentleman of middle eastern descent who had paid a dowry of 50 gold pieces for his new 22 year old, 5th wife.......

Age is not a number, it is a proportion. The longer you have been around the quicker the years tick by. 4 years would mean little to nothing to me,

But I wouldn't want to have sex with anyone under 35 and few under 45, not sure what my upper age limit would be but it would be under 80 and probably under 70

Bothered? I'm not bothered. People are the age they are (except where they display an age 4-12+ years younger than their actual age).

I choose to meet within an age range and that seems to bother some people. I'm not bothered that I am now outside the age range for some I would like to meet as that is their choice.

Might I be the exception to the rule? I've met women from 19 up to 57 in pubs and wasn't embarrassed at all. I'm not there to cater to the whims of the pub patrons. I'm there to hopefully have a bloody good chat with someone I find interesting. There were some stares, but who cares?

Its everyones right to choose our age range is set because the mrs wouldnt feel comfy with a man old enough to be her dad, me i dont care about age at all i just want people who can hold a conversation over a drink if that comes in the shape of a 70yr old thats fine by me but we come as a team and play by the sams rules

We have ours set at 45 but that's not set in stone it's really due to our own age difference & the fact I am not the average 54yr old who's kids are teenagers or have fled the nest, One of ours starts primary school in Sept! Possibly because of this we don't share a lot in common with many my age & most of our friends are around H's age or younger..
