"Employ a good teacher!!"

You can have friends teach. You don't need to employ someone. Or you tube as others have said.

Been playing guitar 30 years. Get a beginners book and look for lessons on you tube for beginners. Secret is practice every day for at least an hour and chord changes will come with time, it's called muscle memory!

Most people give up after a few weeks or months they get frustrated, but stick with it and you will be a competent rhythm guitarist in six months. I'm self taught, but as already mentioned a teacher is the way to go if you can afford it ....

That's the spirit if you want to learn, you will. I had a friend who had a guitar teacher. He learnt in 6 months stuff which took me years from books. A teacher is a good investment and will teach you the theory, as music is really maths, with soul

So true lololo plus never give up, your fingers will hurt and hands will ache, but still play every day and also start to learn scales to so your muscles in your hands and fingers get used to shapes and movement
