Anyone know if gully tankers are hard physical work? I realise it would be dirty work. I am looking at a position going and not sure if i should apply at my age as i sometimes feel every year of it.

All depends on the equipment at hand , but there are definitely harder jobs , and if the wagon is 2007 or younger it's digi cards no matter what

True , but if the truck is fitted with digi tacho , then it must be used , hence 2007

I thought this forum was going to ask about truckers who wanted to pick up strangers as service stations or stops.

Just a fantasy of mine I would like to do one day x

You will need to carry your cpc card and even if on domestic hours and vehicle fitted with a digital tacho you will need to carry your digi card with you even if not using it

This info is 110% correct

If you have a digi card and don't have it in your possession, you are liable for a hefty fine... and also 24 hours off the road.
