.....be able to stop time or fly?

I got asked this earlier, laughed it off at the time however it's been niggling away at me all day and I cannot decide.

Genuinely stuck. And I hate that it's now stuck in my head, so I release the question unto the forum.

Ooohh a hard one... stopping time to spend more time with a loved one or the kids as babies but flying, I think would be my preference as its an enormous sense of freedom I would imagine xx

That's a toughie.

Both has it's advantages.

I would say be able to fly.

Reason being, what fun will it be from stopping time every now and again. Eventually, it would go on once you get bored of stopping it and the shine wears off.

Now flying on the other hand...there are so many things you would be able to accomplish.

Flying to other destinations, awesome views, provides adrenaline rushes..and my favourite...pretend to be superman :P

Id prefer to fly

Also I'd get to spend a little more time with loved ones as I wouldn't be stuck in traffic jams to get to them......

so no need to stop time lol

Very good points. I think I got stuck thinking that being able to stop time would allow me to do certain things differently (like a rewind) -- which I could do with!! But flying, yes! How liberating!!

I'd go for time I think. Provided I could bring someone else into my little time bubble with me. Flying would make it easier to meet people who live miles away but if I could stop time it might negate the travelling issues anyway.

a quandary, could you change my mind?

100% Fly.. Being able to go places quicker, further.. Seeing places from the different angle.. Not having to worry about airport parking.. Flight delays. Yes fly the list of possibilities is brilliant, right I'm off on my first flight 1600 miles... (just a thought can I carry passengers?)

Stopping time, doesn't work (although could be fun) when you stop time everything else stops, so it would just be me, then there's the question "you didn't say I could start it again"

So long as I can manipulate stuff and move whilst time is stopped, that's my choice.

Stopping time, in my conundrum, would be to be able to stop it for as long as you want - rewind it, stop it only for those you want so yes you can take someone in your stopped time bubble with you and yes you can restart it.

I think I'm leaning more to fly now though as I think the time one may be about me trying to manipulate things whereas flight is just a new skill -- manoeuvring things for my advantage probably will backfire eventually!!

IF stopping time also allowed rewinding etc (effectively was time travel) then I'd pick that every time...the things that could be put right!! However if it's purely freezing time so everything stops and doesn't go forwards or back, then flying wins the day here.

I think with the time part. We should just learn to move on. Accept the past and leave it behind. No regrets!

By stopping time, does it mean that everything else will stop and you would be the only one there that can move? Or would it be like no time limit to spend with someone, something? If it's that, I would say stop time, but if not, then I would fly. Although, I'm scared of heights so I don't know how well that would work lol

Stop time and do all the stuff Bart and Milhouse do in that episode of The Simpsons. It's easily the more mischievous choice, so gets my vote, hands down

without deconstructing the universal laws of time paradigm, stopping time is impossible.

therefore, stick to learning to fly..and wear protection

Hmmm? Learning to fly in a condom?

Helium filled? Like a balloon?

Ordinarily I'd go with fly, however time with Number One Chap is a rare and precious commodity, so I'd probably hit the pause button on our next catch up and stay in blissful detachment from reality for a bit.
