My neighbour just knocked on the door to tell my I'd left my car windows open. All 4 of them. It's been raining and the seats are sodden

That's the plan today. Did your car smell once it dried out? I'm worried it'll be all musty and mildewy.

"You left 4 windows open?"

Last night I moved my car as another neighbour is having a skip delivered this morning. There's a button on my keyfob that opens all the windows, which I must have accidentally pressed as I was locking it. I was walking away and not looking so didn't notice.

I'll bring my kit when I come up. I can deep clean the seats and carpets so there won't be any bad smells. X

Take it to a car valet. Ask them to suck the water out with their carpet cleaner.

Oh dear !! Hope they dry out quickly

A few years ago I had a convertible and the roof was down as I'd been out. There was a huge storm and I stood inside watching it , amazed at how quickly the rain was coming down.... then the penny dropped that my roof was still down bucket seats are named that for a reason !!

62 West Wallaby Street (not real address)

Broke the windscreen on my classic mini. Had the people come out and refit a new one but they didn't seal the window. Didn't go out for a few days as I wasn't well and during that time we had 3 days of bad rain. Went to go out in my car and it was full of water and my electrics were not working. Stereo blew up when I turned the ignition on. That wasn't a good day
