Bi?

In my opinion, someone is bi, if they are attracted to both men and women to the extent that they would be happy to be in a relationship with either.

What a lot of people on here are describing falls short of that some what.

But there is no real term for a man who enjoys another mans genitals, I mean there's the "spaghetti lesbian" (straight till wet) but nothing for men, any ideas? Its just a thought

I think your definition of bi is too rigid. I don't think it necessarily extends as far as being happy to be in a relationship with them. I think it's all about are you happy to engage in sexual activity with them. But what do I know? Shades of grey innit?

I just think that there's a lot of life in between gay and straight just like everything else, its more fluid than that

But yes, I concur.

The OP's definition of bisexual is flawed.

Go do a Kinsey Test.

nah - the point at which any man wants to start playing with another man's John Thomas he's at least bi-curious in my simplistic view of the world. And if then they cross the line from 'wanting to play' to 'actually playing' then they are bi.

Nowt wrong with that at all, nothing to be ashamed of, I just don't subscribe to this 'I'm not bi I just like playing with cocks' notion - it's just denial innit?

Labels can be very problematic though. Mrs C would not want to have a relationship with a woman (which would mean that she is not bi by your definition) but she has been enjoying sex with women for many years so she could hardly be described as bi curious.

To turn the proposition on its head, you might as well posit that all straights do is vaginal sex in the missionary position.

There's a whole lot of pleasure centres, degrees of desire and preferences out there.

I occasionally find a man who's happy to take it up the jacksie and suck cock but who won't kiss.

Whatever. It's not my sexuality.

*shrugs*

What a load of codswallop, a person is Bi if they have sex with both sexes.

There is a name for a man who enjoys another man's genitals, it's gay or Bi.

Never heard of a spaghetti lesbian, not sure what books you are reading.

Men fuck women without wanting a relationship, so what does that make them then, closet heterosexual???

Absolutely rubbish statement.

I have always found both male and female sexually attractive,so I guess I would,if pressed, call myself bi.whether I could have a full time relationship with a man? I don't know, but would never rule it out.

I'm situationally bi. Or bi playful. I like other girls sexually but romantic relationship wise it's always been men for me. Mind you, I'm not looking for a relationship with a guy either so bi will do for what I use fab for.

I've heard some people describe themselves as bisexual but heteroamorous. They could be sexually attracted to either gender but would only want a romantic relationship with the opposite gender. Or vice versa.

The terminology is problematic really. There should be another term for those you are romantically interested in as opposed to just sexual interest. Hetero/homophile?

As a bi guy married to a man I'd agree with you but at what point do you tip the scale and declare yourself bi because unless you try a relationship with a guy you'll never know.

"Hmm. I like having sex with both, women and men but I only see myself being in a relationship with women. What does that make me? "

Bisexual, heteroromantic.

I did a lot of study on alternative sexualities (I'm pansexual - which doesn't mean I'll fuck anything, but it means gender doesn't matter), and your sexuality is who you have sex with. But you can want romantic relationships with only one sex.

So I'm pansexual, homoromantic (technically gyneromantic as it's femininity I'm attracted to) and also polyamorous.

Eventually you can find enough labels to define yourself. If not, go make some more up...

My view on bisexuality is that there's two sides -

Sexually - where there's attraction and you'd have sex but it's a casual thing.

Romantically - where you seek romantic relationships with the same sex, like me.

But with the logic that you can only be bisexual if you want a relationship with both sexes, surely that's just as limiting as saying if you're heterosexual you should want a relationship with every person you have sex with! Sexuality is a huge sliding scale, that often changes/morphs through life. In my humble opinion!xx
