Name someone that's inspired/influenced you throughout life.

I'll start off and say Nelson Mandela. What a man he was.

I think I've learnt more from my children than my parents! Although if you want to be inspired into a sing song getting pissed in the pub, the old fellas pretty good at it!

My parents: their indifference made my sisters and I the people we are: strong and independent.

My children: raised how I'd have loved, strong and independent with a softer edge, with a joie de vivre I aspire to.

My late Father.

I hope to be at least half the man he was, and for loving my mother till the day he died, despite the challenges in their relationship.

My late mother, for having the desire and passion to have a family. After many many miscarriages she finally succeeded by having me.

My hero's.

Lyndhurst

My much older sister was a feminist, used to buy cosmopolitan magazine in the 70s and 80s taught me that it wasnt a good thing to have kids or get married and that it would be nothing but mostly a life of drudgery and it was better to have your freedom and be independant. She had quite a good life even though she never left home. Traveled quite a lot which is what she wanted and she always used to look nice taking care of the way she looked.

Personally, my eldest lad. He's been through more in his short lifetime than anyone should ever have to go through. He's faced it all with a quiet dignity that's awed me.

Maya Angelou. What an amazing lady.

My big sis, lost her son to aplastic anemia, year after that found out she had breast cancer on a fab note tho, now happily married living life to the full, will always have somebody in her heart but still manages to smile everyday. Now does a charity in her sons name Theanthonyboothtrustfund ( google it) they do some fantastic work to raise money and awareness,go to the hospital every Christmas Day and hand the nurses gifts and the kids. They provided the playrooms with two ps4 last year and wrote a cheque for £5000 to some sort of research place. Even do bouncy castle and the people that help them are purely voluntary and do not get paid...... Few ( takes a breath) sorry long but you did ask.

First, I'd say my dad for loving me unconditionally when I wasn't always at my best. Second, my wife for making me the man the that I've grown to become. She's the one who has supported me through my failures and celebrated my success. Third, my daughter for representing our family in the most awesome way. Besides being an outstanding college softball player, she works a job that will lead to her post grad life and studies her ass off to be an honor roll scholar- athlete.
