Tears In Heaven wasn't written about his son dying. It was written for the film Lorenzo's Oil. The song he wrote about his son is called The Circus Has Left Town.

I can't remember tbh, I know it's something to do with 'coca cola' and had to change to 'cherry cola' but can't remember it's a bit sketchy. The Beatles wrote loads of sublimilal stuff esp John Lennon later on. X

Yup really....Embarassment was written by sax player Lee Thompson and was actually about his sister who had been shunned by the family, although as a happy ending when she gave birth they all came round and accepted the situation.

Yeah, Fleetwood Mac built an entire career out of divorcing each other, lol.

The Elvis thing is right, he wrote next to nothing his entire career, but Col Parker got every song writer he worked with to give him a credit so a portion of the royalties kicked back to Elvis.

Prince didn't smoke. Frowned on it.

I don't doubt he smoked a spliff or two in his time but he was famously anti smoking, drink and drugs.

Shame it was legal pain killers that sent him to his grave

It was written before his sons death. It became synonymous with his death because fans associated the lyrics with what happened but The Circus Has Left Town WAS the song about his son.
