I was with my wife for 20years mate, I know how difficult it is, I also knew it wouldn't work after our second child was born. I stayed till the kids were old enough, as I didn't want the queue of "stepdads" I had for mine. Now we're friends again, and life has moved on. For the better of both of us. It will get better if you want it to.
