For those that do. Do you like to be on time or early. I generally like to get there about 10 minutes before them.

I'm usually late. I don't mean to be but I rely on public transport and it can be hectic in London. Plus,I sometimes get lost

I prefer to be early so I can compose myself and not look too flustered.

I was late to my own tea party, not exactly canon but someone had to be.

I hate being late for things.

If someone is coming to visit me on the train, I only live a 2 min walk from the station, so it's easy to be on time

Yes,I use Tfl journey planner but it's never accurate. It told me my train journey to Clapham would be 48 minutes. I allowed myself an hour and 10 minutes allowing for buses and walking. It took me 1 hour and 45 minutes, but that included a 5 minutes stop at a shop and 10 minutes with oyster machines at the station that wouldn't take coins. I was aiming for 8.30 and got there at 9.

Not if they have problems on the train or buses and the ticket machine won't work for them

I don't mind being early if I'm waiting in a cafe, not in a pub though or I'll be d*unk by the time they get there.

Ah a woman who I can relate to

The worst occasion I had to be 'rescued' from IKEA car park ~ made for a great meet though, the relief of being found came flooding out

I think you're right. No matter how much I plan my journey, something happens. I check for station and line closures first now because I got stuck in Paddington one night when the train drivers went on strike. I had to get 3 buses home and arrived at 1.30 am.

early or on time is good... late is not good so if we are late something has delayed us and there's not a lot we can do about it.

Always appreciate people who are on time

Early, well the few I've been on I've been incredibly early!!

Usually though in my everyday life, I either get places as above or about 10 mins late, there is never an 'on time' senerio!

Northampton Somewhere

I try my best to be a few minutes early. I usually say 11'ish' so I feel it doesn't matter too much if I'm running a little late

I normally get lost as don't know my left from my right when I'm meeting someone for the first time... which means my attempt of being on time always fails!
