So, according to the Daily Fail...

Altruism is sexually desirable and those who give up their time or money are more successful between the sheets.

"Researchers discovered that those who frequently do good deeds are more likely to have more partners and more frequent sex".

So basically, be unselfish, and get laid more!

It stands to reason.

Those who help others even in small ways will be considered to be more desirable than those who are totally self centred .

Neither activity is the sort of information I share openly. And I definitely wouldn't be sharing with the daily fail.

I'm not sure there's such a thing as true altruism and I'm pretty sure the Daily Mail wouldn't know any form of altruism if it came up and puked on its pages.

Oh dear...I smell a fixed survey. Not that the pretext isn't true, I'll always go for someone with a keener sense of social responsibility over a self absorbed waster but I wouldn't tell the papers lol

Apparently the researchers asked the respondents to donate their fee to charity- then used that to "extrapolate" (hmmm) the results!
