tesco are to start selling used cars online. It will show pictures of any scrapes and dents. But it will not give people to test drive the cars, instead a video of the car being tested will be available. Would you buy a car like this? I know i wouldn't

Newcastle and Gateshead

i am assuming that tescos wouldn't be allowed to sell cars that were not fit for the road... and they would have to make any problems known before selling them...

as long as you know what risk you are buying... i don't see a problem with it... would i buy one blind... probably not!!!

Do you get Tesco points? I would buy one if its a decent offer - I can't see them damaging their reputation by selling dodgy cars. Their warranty will be just as good as any used dealers, I imagine.

Yes I would as long as a full refund was available within a reasonable period of me buying it.

TBH I think i'd have to buy ten or more before I settled with one tho.... cos let's face it ...... where I hang my handbag matters !

I've bought 4 cars on ebay, without closeup inspection, so yes, I would buy one if it was what I wanted.

I've had no probs with my "blind" ebay buys

Sounds Ok to me, i once thought about buying a car on Ebay, but eventually bought one from a neighbour, can't see it being any different to Ebay, theres the chance it could be knackered wherever you buy it from, i've had some naff ones from local dealers.

I would think you would get some warranty or the chance to return it if you weren't satisfied. I would rather buy one from Tesco's than some back street shyster.

Apparently Tesco tried this before with new cars with the same format.
