Thing is people & the media goto town on the reporting and stiring up hysteria when things like this occure which is EXACTLY what the cowardly terrorists want.

But you have to keep attacks like this in perspective when saying it isnt safe to go here or there etc , you're probably 100 times more likely to die in a traffic accident going somewhere than being killed by a terrorist once you get there

So is it not time to lobby the for military intervention in ISIL held territories...

Until the leaders of this group are eradicated, this movement will just keep growing with more random and unstoppable acts of terror.

Ill conceived conflicts in a post war era where the threat of nuclear holocaust was ever present.. Those have to be excluded..

Whether in the far east, middle East or Africa.. The world in the 50's to 70's was a mess... No two ways about it.

Following the fall or Berlin, Europe was carved up by the victors, as for the rest of the world, it was left to pick up its own pieces...

Old feuds reignited as countries tried to re establish themselves.. Puppet rulers were put in place and became despot leaders.

Today's problems are not a lot different from what caused ww2, a cause and a calling that some can relate to..

We can look to the past as a lesson of what not to do but do not blame it for the problems of present..

This is not politically driven, it's an ideology.. A bastardisation of a religion to create a utopia for a criminal element for power and greed alone where murder and rape of women and children is considered acceptable..

No

The city does have a huge Arab / Turk demographic

I've been countless times and never felt threatened

I am a fan of multi culturism though

Long may it continue

We can't let extremists on either side instill fear and hatred into the hearts of good people.

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

Rape and murder are never acceptable.. What a small number of individuals have done in the UK over the last 40 years pales into insignificance compared to the damage ISIL have done in the middle east in 2 years.

Entire communities wiped out and displaced.. Men, women and children murdered.. Men forced to watch as their wives are raped, children butchered beforethem, then being being forced to join or die..

This is the sick reality of what is going on in the middle east, and we are obviously happy that it happens... But as soon as it's brought to our doorstep.. "oh how awful.. Why did it happen?"

Because we, the West are to bothered with exiting Europe "cos that'll make us safe.."

Get real, these sick bastards are home grown, from the UK, Germany, France, Belgium, Holland.

The security services will never track down all these small cells.. This is a fight it will never win.

These groups will go around with complete impunity, free to strike when they like because they act alone.

Did the fight against the IRA not teach us anything, or have we just decided to forget?

This is not some big organised group, just small groups of thugs.

This is a hornet's nest, we can either stand in the garden swatting at hornet's all day or get the exterminators in to deal with the nest once and for all.

How do you deal with the nest once and for all when it's not a nest at all. It's not in a single location. It's a dispersed and virtual organism with the ability to infect and pop up wherever.

It's a Hydra. Attack one head and another will appear. The history of this has been one of attack, containment, subjugation, resisting that and uprising.

You don't fight an ideological system with guns.
