Well, the last company that made vhs machines will no longer be making them at the end of the month.

Will anyone actually miss them? lol.

I've still got a good porn collection on VHS from the 90's/00's. Got 3 VHS players so plenty of spare back ups in case one breaks.

Bought my first VHS recorder in 1986 cost £350 which was a lot of money then. Had a reasonable prono collection but the picture quality not what we are used to these days

Now if only they were 70' and 80s Golden Age ones, we'd be making you an offer.

I transferred all mine from Beta to VHS then to disc. Never watch most of it now though as there's so much free stuff with better quality on line

If you have any Disney VHS I'd eBay them. Some people have sold some classics for 1000's. I think one went for £8k

They still sell them in Argos and most high street electrical stores don't they?

Never ceases to amaze us what stuff will sell for. You think it's worth a fortune and get nothing and vice versa.

Bit of a tangent, but does anyone know an organisation, or individual who still wants recordable VHS tapes that have been used, but are still functioning well?

I have a crate full of them - really don't want to landfill them. I'm trying to find an enthusiast who still uses them!

I'll probably have lots of bought, commercial tapes to get rid of too. I think someone would take them though.

I've managed to find people for my audio cassettes, which is cool.
