"My mind often goes off on a tangent and I ponder on silly things. Today my pondering tangent is why are pot holes in the road called pot holes. They're not pots or holes , and for that matter, why is pot holing called pot holing? Anyone know? No googling "I think it is because they look like a cooking pot
