John Rylands..the great unknown judging by the many who walk past without even a glance ...St Anns Church ...or the 'Hidden Gem' The Town Hall has two main buildings ...the elder is Grade 1 Listed ..I used to know the chap who was the facilities manager had some great trips around .. interesti g note about London Road Fire Station ..ill have to have a peek .never been in since i was a kid ?? Lucky enough to have explored the subterrean tunnel system...its amazing where they go amd jist below the buay shoppers visitors or workers above .. The Northern Quarter has chabged so much ... Ok embarassing but ive never been " First went to listen to the Halle when I was 16 summer 72, they were still in the Free Trade Hall then. Still go, but not as much as I would like. You should go to the afternoon concerts if you can, generally you can get a ticket on the door without booking. You should also give the RNCM Monday afternoon recitals a try (they are free, turn up and listen to the next generation of concert musicians). | |||
