If you had a friend who spoke to you in the same way that you sometimes speak to yourself, how long would you allow that person to be your friend?

My best friend tells me everything I never want to tell myself.

Sometimes I want to strangle her but then Who else would tell me when I'm being a dick?!

If one of my friends started saying the things to me that the dark voices in my head tell me to do, then I'd defintely call the Police .. no however much you tell me to I'm *not* going to kidnap women hitchhikers ...

Not long, my best friends tell me I'm too harsh on myself sometimes.

They are much nicer to me

It would depend I think. We often are resistant to hearing the truth, even from ourselves or best friends.

But I have lifelong friends who I trust completely and always listen to their sage wisdom and advice.

It would be a great relationship to have and priceless - so think I'd keep it for life.

I only have 2 real friends, others are just people I know and like to chat/spend time with them ocassionaly.

Thing is I know these two guys would not let me down when I'm in need and that's a rare thing to have in my opinion.
