Ive bought stuff already

Since my little one is a Christmas eve baby its a double whammy for expense... nothing wrong with buying things throughout the year. Id rather do it this way than end up with a credit card/loan or overdraft.

I may not be switched on with much, but ive never been in debt

If you’ve never been registered on a credit file, then you’ll find it virtually impossible to obtain credit should you need it, having NO credit is almost as bad as having bad credit, being listed on a credit file shows you’re at least are / was creditworthy

I know of ladies who have started their Christmas Club - making things for Christmas. They meet once a month. A 3D Christmas tree was last week's novelty (I didn't bother asking for more information as I was in a state of shock!).

Personally I hate the 'season to be jolly' as it's over-hyped, expensive marketing rubbish. I just give the kids money on Christmas day, and then on Boxing day all the goodies they wanted are half the price of 24 hrs previously.

I do, however, put money by each month so that when Christmas does arrive, money is in the account to cover all food and presents.
