"Love a good run. Do people prefer to run in the morning or evening. I run mainly in the morning personally." Races and park runs are morning affairs, and I tend to run at the same time, if I can help it Most mid week runs are in the evening though

"Love a good run. Do people prefer to run in the morning or evening. I run mainly in the morning personally." Run to work, or ride in If on an early shift, l'll be running by 04:20!!! Conversely, after a late, leave work about 22:30 Circa 30 minute run, no matter what the weather (if winter snow, l'll wear a pair of my fell-race shoes) Club-runs are early evenings ParkRun on a Saturday, when shifts allow Races are invariably in the late AM

"So for all the runners how did you start? Ive started a few times and then lapsed. Never kept it up but ive just started again... " Mine was a "dare" one Christmas Talking with brother and sister in law over a bottle or two of wine. We'd all just started running / keep fit and challenged each other to do the Chester Half Marathon. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but it became an annual tradition Setting yourself a target or goal keeps you running. So pick the We Manchester 10k, or the Salford 10k for next year

"Doing Half marathon nxt month in Cheltenham, entered the ballot of London " I'm doing Cheltenham half too Slow parkrubfor me today (well slower than normal lol) tired legs and body after a 14 hour sleep last night!! Was my dad's first official parkrun after he spontaneously decided to run it on my 100th the other week.....I beat him haha

"So for all the runners how did you start? Ive started a few times and then lapsed. Never kept it up but ive just started again... " Honestly....if you can get to parkrun on a Saturday morning. It's great because it's free and there are some fantastic inspiring and supportive people there. I have made so many friends since going. I started after watching 'obese: a year to save my life' and saw a woman complete a triathlon and though if she can do it so can I. Downloaded the couch to 5k podcasts from the nhs choices site and off I went. I used to vet annoyed because I couldn't run all of the sections until my dad said to slow down. Took me longer than the 9 weeks to complete it but I did it.

Probably the best bit of advice about running I was given.

"Just back from my Sunday morning "easy" run, and thinking about Mo Farrah's performance last night. By the time he'd finished I'd only have run 6km, at my own race pace. A whole 4km behind him. That's just totally amazing " I tend to think that the Brownlees performances are comparatively better Mo's 10,000 was on a nice smooth, flat track Not sure about the 'split' for the 10k of the. Triathlon yesterday, but Alistair was under 90 seconds adrift on a street circuit: after the swim & ride (25 mile) at London 2012 I've taken part in fell-races, where both brothers have also ran (their competative background), & it is an education to watch them

"Thinking about signing up to my first marathon next after running several halfs.... what events are people running next year?" I'll possibly do Portland in February and another winter one for the challenge rather than the time

"So after Bournemouth broke me physically and mentally I decided I needed a different challenge away from chasing a fast marathon PB. "ok running gurus.....i have managed to go 4 years without injury but just lately i have been getting a pain in my right leg just under my buttock. i know i need to stretch more and it is hamstrings/periformis related but, what would you do running wise? did 2 x 2 mile runs today and it was painful but not agonising. shoudl i just stick to smaller runs with lits of stretching? or do walks () instead? i am able to do netball and circuits ok, as long as there are no run sections in the circuits" I hate to say it but rest is key. I hate doing it but if you keep testing it you'll keep hurting it. Do something less load bearing like swimming or pool running instead. I had a knee niggle this year and it took a month before I could run again.
