.

I always buy flowers but keep them at home, my mum did the same for her mum, so I don't feel bad doing it and feel like I'm bringing my mum into my home.

It makes me sad that so many of you have lost your mums.

My mum doesn't believe in Mother's Day so we don't do anything special. I think maybe I'll go visit her anyway though.

a Primark shoebox in Leicester

My mum use to moan when she was given flowers... she didn't like having to throw them away when they died.... said it was a waste. I still bought her flowers. The thing I also started doing was buying her bulbs and planting them in pots, so she could have a bunch of flowers which she didn't have to throw away.

So on Sunday I'll look out at the pots of tulips and spare a thought for her.

My moms no longer with us and Kate's mom is terminally ill, so this might be her last Mothers Day.

We are travelling to see her and have got a few surprises planned.

little house on the praire

There is a memory that i have of my granny that always makes me cry.

She was a very religious person and they lived in a farm cottage. New people took over the farm with teenage sons they all played in a brass band.

My granny had been diagnosed with cancer not long before the christmas. At 9 clock on the christmas morning the whole family went and stood under my grannys bedroom window and played carols to her on their instruments

Visiting MIL plot to-morrow, just purchased some solar ball lights to place on the plot, it’ll give a constant light during darkness, she’ll be well pleased with them.
