Explain to me please why ...

... on a site where it not unusual for the single guys to be married, why one would claim not to be but then email an internet image rather than a genuine photo? Are people really that screwed up? If you can't be honest here, then where? As my profile says, I signed up because I'm curious. But if this is normal then better to be curious elsewhere!?!

Yours,

Apparently Very Naive Curious Monkey

The photo theiveses are in the minority, happily. Let me assure you - no one has ever bothered to nick one of my cock photos. Just report them if you think they are using an Internet photo that isn't theirs.

I've been chatting to a couple of those great people. And I have 'real world' friends on here so I know there are. But after having so many dodgy and aggressive messages, and then this from somebody who had come across as normal, it it really worth filtering through? (Playing devils advocate with that question.)

Lol! It wasn't even of his cock. It was a photo that showed he clearly wasn't where he said he was. Like why bother?

There's nothing as queer as folk.

Unfortunately there are a few guys (possibly even boys) who join on here just for fantasy wanks. They aim to get you talking dirty to them and sending photo's, then when they've shot their load they disappear. Even worse, some will arrange meets and have you waiting for them whilst their asleep in their beds at home.

If using kik always ask for a camera pic not a gallery pic. That was its taken there and then and you know who you are talking too. I find so many men pretending to be women for some reason try and get pics. Weird

Good observation there OP. Swinging is a sexual activity which appeals to me because of its openness. I ask the same questions, why lie?

I thought so too. Some (on 'normal' dating sites also) are a little harder to figure out. Instinct over benefit of the doubt every time.

Exactly! But I think a lot of the single guys are here because they think its a sexual buffet with woman who have no standards. That's if the number of 'fancy a fuck' messages I've received is anything to go by. What's so hard about being a polite courteous honest grown up?

Well only the guilty person can explain it really, I could make a few wild guesses e.g. the fab age is no where near the persons actual age, or the person is so ugly actual photos would scare you off, or they are not actually the gender they claim to be.

But it comes down to 'nowt so queen as folk'

Clearly there is no chance of a meeting once a fake photo has been used.

I think most who will actually be hoping to get between your legs at some point will be honest'ish. So I don't think it would be a normal experience.

Oh sure, its a site that's about sexual experiences, that's what people are here for. I'm just not impressed about the how. But I'm sure some will think I'm uptight or whatever because of it. Horses courses. I was tempted to agree to his proposed meet up and not show up, explaining why afterwards. But why waste more time.

People lie about all sorts of stuff on the Internet, because they can, simple as that.

I've seen messages from people using the same avatar which turned out to be neither of them, now that was confusing!

All you can do is up your BS detector & report dodgy profiles to Admin.

More disappointed than surprised, at people needing or wanting to actively deceive somewhere where its not really necessary. Its a tad desperate.

Why do people do this? Surely they must know their real identity will be revealed and that it will be totally awkward

I can't explain why.

I don't know the person that did it.

You explain why you expected to meet Little Lord Fauntelroy or Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm on here. That'd be easier.

There's a big cyber space out there with every type of person imaginable.

I'm only interested in the ones im looking for , not the ones I don't want.

Nope I didn't expect that. It's the effort put into active deception when its not required that I don't understand.

They have no intention of actually meeting.

We have been sent pictures of people that are genuinely them just ten to twenty years ago and several stone lighter. One guy from another site sent a picture of a tanned, dark haired man ...when he turned up he was grey pale and about 15 years older. On the internet you can be anyone you want because it isn't real...is it?

We all put our most flattering photo forward, but ... wow. I'm genuine and honest, guess I hoped there would be some likeminded out there. It's beyond me why people don't change their circumstances if they're not happy rather than live out a virtual life online.

So many fake pics.

It's obvious the face don't match the body.

So many fake penis pics to. I don't think google does 10 different pics of the same penis so it's easy to spot those ones.

I need specs and even I can see the first one is 3 inch bigger!

I meant the effort put into deceiving. Me, I wouldn't be bothered, I'd be embarrassed that I had to (or whatever the prompt is for doing so). The not required bit is that I feel people can be open about their personal circumstances here. A lot of guys quite openly say they're attached. Fine with me. Live and let live.

Why not block somglemen and do your own searching?

Will pretty much eliminate the dodgy and aggressive messages

A possibility is,they know that you wouldn't be interested in their actual physical looks,so are trying to win you over with their personality; hoping you'll be forgiving if you did meet.

Women on here aim high, the people on the lower branches do whatever they can to get in their sights.

Just ask before you meet for a picture with them holding a piece of paper with your name on it that way you know for sure? or before you start sharing private pics. Thats what I would do
