What has disappea_ed in your life time? When I was younger I remember taking a ticket at the cheese counter in the supermarket, saw dust on the floor in butcher's and a break half way through a movie in the cinema. What else has disappea_ed that you remember?

Oh god just a few things off the top of my head.

You don't 'call for people' anymore like go to their house and give them a knock to see if they're coming out! Or if you can't get them on the home phone you can't reach them at all!

Cadbury Spira's have gone, wish they would bring them back.

Original Mountain Dew the green shit not the energy drink version that's come back.

Can't smoke on a train or pubs and nightclubs. Miss being able to have a fag and a dance at the same time!

Saturday night TV's gone shit as well, used to have gladiators and blind date, or generation game, now it's mainly crap.

Picking your telephone receiver up to make a call and hearing the 'party line' already using it. For those people too young to know about it, this was the person who sha_ed your telephone line with you. If you had a party line you had to wait for them to finish before you could make a call.

Or the internet line, if you were on the internet and picked the phone up it knocked your connection off. Course didn't even have internet at home till I was about 20 years old, would have hated Facebook being around when I was in school.

Oh yeah the corona pop man, my next door neighbour Leanne smashed a bottle into her hand cos she was runnjng to the van to take the empty bottles back!

We had a fish and chip can that used to go round on a sturdy night as well like an ice cream man would, and a cockle van and the fruit and veg van!

Seen the increase in cars on the road, never used to be this many cars when I first started driving and that's only really been the last 12 years.

Can't let your child play in the street anymore.

Having to wait for the TV to warm up for several minutes before you actually got a good enough picture to watch it. Your parents still called the radio the 'wireless' and the record player - or more trendily termed 'stereo' - was refer_ed to as the 'gramaphone' for heaven's sake (no, I wasn't brought up in a Victorian orphanage). The excitement of extraordinarily advanced technology when your dad came home with a *remote controlled* VHS recorder which in reality was attached to the unit on a very long cable the cat kept leaping on and chewing as it trailed across the floor and was thus rende_ed useless within weeks.

As in the ones in the garden with 4 arms and wire between them? My neighbor has one. On new developments they are often banned as a by-law, so too for campers and caravans, works vehicles etc.

Red corduroy trousers.

Huge fla_ed trousers you could hide your dog under.

Little paper dolls in their undies with pop out clothes with little white tags on.

"- Renting videos

- Support films at the cinema

- Being able to drink more than three pints without suffering a 48 hour hangover

- Politicians making at least some attempt to appear honest and decent"

We certainly haven't had any decent political sex scandals for a while have we? I mean if we have to put up with a Tory government we could at least have a few married back benchers getting caught cottaging for us all to have a laugh at!

Central

People in bars, restaurants etc used to talk to each other, not look at their hands.

Photographs for most people were taken on holidays, at school, trips out and occasions.
