A friend of mine has recently started up a speed dating enterprise. So far he is doing quite well, there has been a lot of interest in the nights, and so far the two he has held have been sold out events.

He is expanding with gay and lesbian nights and has had interest from the local media specifically on these.

He is also further expanding with a couples swinging speed date. I've asked if I'm allowed to go as the traditional 'swinging unicorn', but he said no. I'm not sure if this is because I'm not a couple or if it's because he said he can't charge me, because no one charges single fems!

So what do you think of the concept? Would you as a couple be willing to try it?

I personally think he needs to be careful with regards discretion etc. People may not want to be seen gong to a swinging speed date in a public house.

I think if there was discretion it's not a bad idea....

But then clubs offer more or less the same and then you can get straight down to it;);)

I think I prefer socials. I've never had sex as a result of a Fab social but I do enjoy them.

I tried speed dating of the more usual kind and hated it.

I'd take part, as it's low investment and risk and you could potentially meet some interesting people. I'd not consider paying much, if anything and don't agree with an unbalanced charging system.

I would be willing to pay to meet couples this way. From a single fems point of view, it gives me the chance to meet new and interesting people, within a safe environment with little or no expectation to play, as there can sometimes be with meeting in a pub etc.
