"Anyone had a heel spur ? I have such pain in the bottom of my foot I've had to give up running . Google says plantar fasciitis or heel spur Agh I dunno what to do seems stupid to go doctors about foot pain ! It will eventually go away but can take years. Physio really does help in this case and it's all about stretching the tendons underneath your foot as often and as long as you can. Starting to hurt to walk now too "

"It's the right thing to go to the Doctor, as they have expert resources to hand and will want to help, if they can. If it is a heel spur, then it most will likely not need surgery. Have you been using antiflammatory or other pain killers? " No , I haven't actually . Because it feels so bruised and its there all the time I haven't thought of pain killers . This may sound crazy ! But I think because like I take pain killers for head aches etc it seems strange for foot pain . But think il try and also some gel for my foot to see . I'm stretching and massaging as much as I can

"I have just got rid of Plantar fasciitis after 7 months of pain pain pain. I had the inserts in the shoes. From the GP got anti inflammatory and then topped up with painkillers. Did the exercises found on the internet. I'm now having to, more or less, learn to walk normal again as I had limped for the 7 months. I feel for you. " Does it feel like the bottom of your foot is bruised ? And hurts when you stretch it out , and when you get cramp and the bone / ligament bit sticks out , that hurts too , like cramp

And hurts when you stretch it out , and when you get cramp and the bone / ligament bit sticks out , that hurts too , like cramp " All the nerve endings on top and under the foot really hurt, from when you cough or sneeze even more so. Even pressure from walking hurts. Forget running or even walking fast. Felt like a huge bruise all underneath the foot. No swelling or anything sticking out. I show dogs as a hobby and for the last few months I've had the foot strapped and used anti inflammatory gel plus pain killers to get me through running with then.

Google says plantar fasciitis or heel spur Agh I dunno what to do seems stupid to go doctors about foot pain ! Starting to hurt to walk now too " I had plantar fasciitis a few years back. It took two years to fully go. One of the best things for me was strapping it up with tape. There's a certain way of doing it, it kind of criss crosses on the bottom of your foot and then goes across three times. There's videos of the technique. I got through masses of tape but it was worth it for the relief. Not very cool, but I wore crocs around the house and they took the pressure off a bit too. Katie.
