Play loud music early in the morning. That ought to piss them off

Some people just don't have consideration or manners theses days do they ?

Like you said maybe a little payback is in order

Playing them at their own game will only lead to more problems and may back fire on you.

Ask them once more to keep the music turned down, make a note of day/time/duration and contact the council!

It might just be that it's a settling in period for them and given a week or two they will calm down.

Good luck op, noisy neighbours are a nightmare. I've been there on more than one occasion.

Not true! Unacceptable noise can be reported no matter what time of the day it happens provided that it is happening on a regular basis. A one off is one thing but if it's happening on a regular basis it's a noise nuisance and can be reported. It's the same as if someone was leaving their dog at home all day and it was barking but stopped when the owner got home at 6pm. Just because it's not happening after 10pm doesn't make it any less of a noise nuisance!!!!

keep a record and good luck to you - we have dog next door that barks constantly and the council eventually got round to giving them some sort of warning letter - that was last year and nothing else - dg still barks - 4 .30 this morning it started

Keep a diary , talk to your Environmental Health Department about it. They'll tell you what's acceptable and what isn't.

get other people involved.

nobody cares if it's a one on one argument coz personalities can clash like that but if they're annoying loads of people then it's obvious who the problem is.

Had this problem once, next doors parents went away so the lad, probably about 16 had loads of mates round in the garden. Underage drinking, smoking , loud music....

I was working in the garage at the time so just turned my car on and played - excision- bass cannon

They soon stopped.

Problem solved

But seriously, just track when it's happening and file a report. Chances are nothing will happen straight away, but at least it's logged and you can follow up on it then.

.

I still have a Yamaha 200 two stroke moto in the shed, I find it works well in those situations...

Sometimes I just get my sthil saw out and cut up concrete flags.... The dust alone usually fucks them off inside

Go ask them very nicely, and be terribly sorry to bother them but say if it's not too much trouble, if they wouldn't mind awfully shutting the fuck up?

"Got new neighbours who play loud music with the windows open have complaned twice to them with no luck. Wat do i do next ?"

In Manchester we can go online and complain anonymously. I did with a neighbour who left his dog outside on a Sunday all day (from 7.30am) which barked incessantly. It's not happened since. I think they get a warning letter.

Ps this is on a private estate not council. Council tenants can be evicted if they are a persistent nuisance.

No you're not. Even excessive noise during the day is an offence.

"Got new neighbours who play loud music with the windows open have complaned twice to them with no luck. Wat do i do next ?"

Quite easy,

1) Buy a big tub of popcorn.

2) Think of a second person you don't like on the street. (example: lets say them at number 7)

3) Write your next door neighbours a letter starting with, Hello, it's us from number 7 if you don't keep your music down we will come sort you out.

4) Sit back and watch the sparks fly.

I'm glad your neighbours band are awesome, I just wish ours was as they play the most awful jazz and if he's by himself he plays even worse shit on his sax
