Recently been getting emails telling me I've spent £96-15 from iTunes the receipts say tunes and films had 3 emails so far but haven't opened them fully, is this a con? as I haven't spent anything

apple will normally send you a receipt for any items purchased.... if you are not sure if the amount is correct...

I kept getting mails saying I had bought a top up... And could I continue to the payment page.. Which wanted my bank details.

It's probably just another scam.

I saw this recently from someone who doesn't even have an iTunes account. The email looked legit but when we followed the link, the page turned red and said something like a malicious site is ahead...

It's a scam, they ask for your details to "reimburse" you. Ignore

If there are any links or graphics in the email, try hovering the pointer over them and see what is displayed at the bottom of the screen as it should show where the links are set to go. (This is on a pc of course)

If they are genuine then the link will be as expected without any additional text, eg apple.com

If they look odd then the mail is probably fake and either a scam or any attachment of site the links go to contain malware and best just deleted.

This applies to any email, even the ones you think you recognise.

you can open emails if they've no attachments, they should be safe. clicking links isn't a good idea.

usually if i suspect something is spam or a con i google the exact address that emails should come from, also google the adress it did come from and see what's been said about that.

Open the email (not any attachments) and hover your mouse over any links that claim to go to an Apple URL. It should tell you where it's really going. Chances are, it isn't Apple. I get these periodically and the links always go to random sites they've hijacked and dumped a clone of Apple's log in page on.
