I'm told that it's the scariest film. I've just starting watching it with Mrs sky and I've lost interest already. Is it worth it? All my mates recon it's worth watching though! Going to see part two soon. Trying my hardest to be interested but I'd rather be perving the forums to be honest!

"I enjoyed it."

It's not bad as far as modern horror films go. But scariest film ever - not even close.

What was the last film to scare the pants off you before the conjuring? - Alvin and the Chipmunks?

Or maybe it's because films like this are jumpy, and it's not the kind of thing that scares everyone?

It's gone from quite rubbish in the beginning, all the way up the scale to almost shit. Can't wait for part two

Excellent point.

If you asked me what scary means, it's about the atmosphere and when a film makes you say "that couldn't happen... right? Oh shit - what if it could happen"

That's why the Exorcist has never been surpassed in my opinion. Sure it looks a bit dated but the sounds a most scary part, the script and the pace of the film builds expertly.

I do think the Omen is good but not as scary. The exorcism of Emily Rose was decent. Blair Witch Project was good in its day and the first Paranormal Activity was ok. But all of them had some sort of story that put the 'horror' into context whilst most modern films seem to fit the script around the special effects!
