She realised that with the culmination of her quest of sorts that she would no longer look upon this small but meaningful part of her regimen with the same fondness. At the threshold she remained, reluctant to go on with the ritual that had taken her to awakenings she did not know to be slumbering in her. Not because of an unwillingness to take them any further. But knowing now that he had been the trigger, and would always be remembered for that, yet no longer able to accompany her on the next steps of her meandering and now unquenchable thirst for exploration.
