If Rosberg comes in 2nd or 3Rd place he'll win by three or four points for the driver championship

"Wish it would rain right now just to spice things up "

How about dense thick fog,

or making everyone do a u turn when they reach half way through race and complete the race by knocking off the laps they accumulated. The beauty here is as everyone would be at different stages of the race when the leader turned, we would see increasing amounts of cars flying towards each other and the crashes would be off the hook!

It was a good race with challenging conditions, safety car, rain, wet track and also a radio investigation. I also wanted hamilton to win and he won with 10 seconds.

2nd Rosberg

3rd Verstappen

Rosberg given time penalty for radio message so he's third, Max is second and Lewis is now only one point behind in the standings So so happy for Lewis.

"the spoilt brat won again I see"

I have to say I don't see that in Hamilton at all, out of the two it always seems to be Rosberg who's grumpy when things don't go right. Hamilton seems much better at accepting things and moving on.

For what it's worth, here's my 2 cents.

Lewis controlled and won that race in a manner that was expecting from a maturing driver. He didn't take risks and there was no need to push and win by 30plus seconds as 25points are rewarded no matter how big the winning margin is. Looked after his car and engine and done the job.

On the Rosberg comms issue, I tweeted to @SkysportsF1 as soon as it happened as its breach of the new rules. I saw his gearbox issue no different to when Lewis got ridiculed by having a wrong engine setting on his steering wheel during the Baku race. Was very surprised when his engineer explained how to overcome his faulty 7th gear. Was rightly penalised in my opinion.

Lead has been cut from 43 to just 1 point now and it's game on. Lewis has a great chance for what would bw in my opinion a deserved 4th title. He's got the momentum right now and the next race; Budapest is one of the tracks he really excels on

Exactly, why should a professional F1 driver be given instructions on how to drive his car

Even ma long deceased Gran could have worked that one out

Nigel Mansell showed the Yanks how to go repetitively round an oval track in '93. I'd sooner watch paint dry tbh

Lewis is going to be protecting his engine a lot during the coming races, and inevitably will need a new one at some point, so he's going to get a penalty, be interesting to see where he and the team decide to take it on the chin.

On the Rosberg issue , I think he was unfairly penalised. The rule states "The driver must drive the car alone and unaided." But they have the clause " Teams are allowed to intervene if the car has a "critical problem if a failure of a component or system is imminent and potentially terminal"."

The previous race gear box issue wasn't a critical problem, both cars would have still run, just slower than they should have.

This issue , from my understanding, would have caused critical gearbox failure should it have not been corrected.

Also I feel that telling Rosberg the extra info was correct. He had no way of knowing after resetting it if he could go up to 6th and any higher would cause critical failure or if he could go through 7 and still use 8th

I personally view that as information to prevent critical failure, without it he could have tried skipping 7 to 8 and blown the engine if 8th gear was busted as well, which he had no way of knowing.

I'm shocked at the amount of Hamilton Hate there is. Just shows how typically narrow minded the British are. If this guy was French or American he would be a cult hero and have statues on street corners. The majority of the British public really don't feel at ease with success and successful people.

Anyway, from the way I see it it's like this. Rosberg feels he is owed something. Privileged upbringing, famous dad, etc etc. He's in the best car on the grid and he's had his arse handed to him by Hamilton during his whole career.

So we have a privileged German in the best German car racing for a German team with a team mate who doesn't always play by the rules. Mercedes want Rosberg to win the title. Rosberg and Hamilton both know this. The media knows this. Even the public know this. And everybody is happy for this to happen.

All accept one person. Lewis Hamilton. He has driven (accept Baku) an exemplary season so far. He's had a measured pragmatic approach and has been truly masterful behind the wheel of the car. He's had the top brass and Mercedes trying to destabilise him and the media and he's carried himself like a true champion.

I genuinely hope that he wins it this year then when things change in 2017 he finally signs his ferrari contract and leaves.

Force India were not allowed to tell Sergio Perez about his brakes being in a critical condition in Austria.

No rule clause there.

It probably stems back to his first couple of seasons when he was just a little too arrogant while being very stupid with some of his on track antics and ludicrously dangerous manoeuvres.

Over the last few years though, and noticeably since he started to manage himself, he's definitely relaxed a lot, found himself and become a much calmer (and better) driver- and a more likeable person.

Rosberg seems to be a few years behind Lewis with those qualities, prone to the occasional strop and certainly a bit stupid on track. I think he might struggle to win a title without good fortune (or others bad luck), if Hamilton doesn't take it off him, verstappen may well prove just how good he is next year

Which in my opinion is bloody stupid, it's the whole problem with the FIA, no consistency in enforcing rules and clause's, it's like the entire farce about track limits !
