No but I used to have a peeping tom stand in my garden watching me through the window at night, the police were always called out but never caught him so my boyfriend made me move out in end....scary stuff, now days I should be so lucky!

Yes. I was getting weird phone calls. I reported it to the police and the phone company (technically it's an offence against them not me) and they put a trace on the line which I activated every time I got one.

One of the police notified me when they got a result and gave me the nod (he shouldn't have done because of the phone company thing) that it was the guy I suspected. He was the abusive boyfriend of a friend of mine who had kept hitting on me and threatened to tell her that I was making moves on him if I didn't have sex with him. I laughed like a drain at that. Then he threatened to get me sacked by telling my employer (v large well established uk company) all kinds of malicious lies. This nasty shady man didn't realise I would just go to HR and explain I was being pestered and they slammed him back into touch when he tried.

I've no idea what happened to him (since the offence was against the phone company not me) but I never heard from him again. Sadly I also never heard from my friend either.

I've had another stalker who I could have got sacked and he would have been put on a register but I made the decision to talk him down rather than go to the police. He didn't realise that I actually know most of the people he works with and I didn't want him to make the connection. But his job involves working with children so if his vile online abuse had been a police matter he would have been booted. (none of it involved or mentioned children in any way, it was just nastiness because he wasn't getting laid)

In my experience people like that are just bullying shitbags. A quiet word usually grabs their attention

Stalking is taken very seriously, if you're being stalked report it. I thought there were new laws about it which give the police more powers to act.

not far from you..

Yes.

In the early days on here I use to go on cam.A guy had took photos & videos of me then found me on fb and posted the photos to a random friend (male) through his who did tell me straight away.

I went to the police & there was nothing they could do as the guy had made up a fake profile on fb.My husband ip the guys address and we found out this guy lived in California. All I could do was to delete fb & my fab profile.

Yes it was embarrassing to say the least!..god knows who else he had contracted on my friends list on fb.

I'm more careful now.Their are some real idiots out there.

Bambi x

He was just a bully who had clearly got away with it previously. He also moved in somewhat shady circles so had no idea how proper businesses look after their staff or that I would have no compunction about contacting the police.

He was definitely surprised when I laughed in his face when he threatened to tell my friend - I don't bother lying and I'm very upfront when I fancy someone. My friends all know that I can be a bit rampant but they also know that their men are so far off my limits that I barely even register that they have cocks! Anyone I consider a friend would never believe I've been hitting on their man. Random man walking down the street yes, their man hell no.

Not to the point of getting the police involved but almost.

I had a guy from fab find me on dating sites and also then facebook. He used to message me telling me where I had been. What I had been doing. What I had been eating (he once sat next to me at a cafe and message me later to say had I enjoyed my meal).

I deleted all accounts and left it a few months before rejoining.

I have. It was my ex who is still on here. He'd already been given a couple of chances then one night I got a text that clearly wasn't for me. I dumped him. Then in April he contacted me but I didn't recognise his number. Asked who it was wouldn't tell me. Kept asking still no idea. I was getting a little scared and blocked him. Then got messages on WhatsApp same number. Then I sussed it was him and gave him a piece of my mind told him to fuck off. Following day message on landline. Got police. They rang him and told him to leave me alone. He contacted me again the other day. Threatened with police again. Hope it's got through this time. Oh and it's a new phone and didn't think to relock x

Oops, sorry - I thought you asked if anyone has stalked someone until the police were involved.
