What treatments or products that others, or scientifically, regarded as quack stuff, do you firmly hold on to?

Hologram bracelets, homeopathy, etc

Well I'm laid up wrapped in kinesiology tape right now so I'll let you know in a couple of days whether I now swear by it

Crystals, Essential Oils, Homeopathic stuff...but that's more of a mindful wellbeing thing.

If I'm really poorly then I take whatever drug my GP will give me.

The Placebo effect is a scientifically recognised benefit that we can obtain. It's where the results are better than placebo that we'll usually start to see something viewed less as snake oil products.

Exactly..homeopathy is an expensive example of modern day snake oil.

Amazingly built on the premise that less is more ie the lower the amount of whatever they consider to be the magic component in a product then the stronger it is.

Fucking genius!

Damn

I was hoping this was going to be a tribute thread

There are known properties in natural medicines, aspirin from willow etc.

But the whole homeopathic premise is bollocks
