Well this is a debate we have often in our household. L is Apple through and through, including macbooks ¬_¬ whereas im Android/Windows.
The middle ground we have come to is that there really isnt a RIGHT answer. iPhones are in many ways easier to use, they are simpler to understand, they tend to have a more consistent operating system. But they arent in the least bit customisable, they are very samey, really unless you leave it about 4 generations you really wont see a difference when you upgrade so it feels like a waste of money.
Personally when i was iPhone, i didnt bother upgrading until i was absolutely forced because what was the point? I was getting the same phone i already had with a slighty worse case.
Android is more geek friendly, has a lot of custom options, can be programmed to do all sorts, can use Kodi without a jailbreak, and has more variability in the handsets so you can get one that suits your needs.
But, the big thing that does differ between them is after care. If you get a problem with your Apple product (And people get them far more often than their smug attitudes would dare admit) you take it to an Apple store and they just sort it. No fuss, no fucking around, problem solved.
If you get a problem with your Samsung, throw it in the bin. Seriously, they arent interested, and that goes for pretty much all the Android makers.
I love Android, running a LG G5 and nVidia Shield K1 tablet, and id recommend them to any geek. But for an average user, Apple just makes more sense. Especially since on a flagship handset there really isnt any significant price difference on mobiles any more |
