Continuing on from the question about racists in the family. Now...

Do you have homo/transphobic people in your family? If so, how do you handle it?

My family are religious ... They won't dislike or be rude to an individual based on their sexuality (my mother may be the exception unfortunately) but they won't accept it either. It's a tough one. I openly support it and my family know I have no issues and I simply just don't care. Got some stick for it from an extended family member and I just reminded her she was in my house and then carried on sipping my tea

I don't have any close family save a couple of cousins on ma mam's twin sister's side, and I know for a fact that they are not racist. If they were, I would blacklist them

No, I can honestly say that nobody in our families seems in the slightest bit prejudiced by other peoples sexuality.

Retirement Village

I wouldn't say there was people who were racists in my family but my parents, having migrated here, don't have much trust in non-asians as they do asians.

Maybe its their experiences of 70's/80's Britain when they arrived but i do know they are highly cautious of 'outsiders'
