I was 14 and vividly remember being stood outside a friends house as someone was talking about a song by The Spice Girls, then piling into a house waiting for it to be played on The Box so we could see what all the fuss was about.

Ugh. When I found out the 'Music for the gilted generation' was 22 years old this week, that made me feel old. That was my first album. I've fucked people younger than that album.

I left school that year and started working too, I remember singing it down the phone to my friend who had been in Ibiza for a couple of weeks and hadn't heard it, hated it for a while!! Sad thing is, ads started senior school that year!!!
