John Terry said it fired up the England team so it had an effect. Is it acceptable?..probably not but England fans can't complain,it happens at Wembley all the time

Having seen rugby internationals in Cardiff I can say both anthems were respected - so it comes down to the fact that football fans are too moronic to show some common decency

the National Anthems seem to be respected at all sports other than football such a shame but really does show the fans up.

I have a very good friend who supports a scottish team that wears green and white - just mention blue and he goes crazzy until it is pointed out that his national team play in blue ........... then he hates anything appearing in white!!!! get him off the subject of football and he becomes human again lol

My Dad's a lifelong Spurs fan. My son told him on Friday that his fiancee is a gooner.

My dad looked at him for a few seconds then said "ok...well,have a nice wedding"

He was joking..I think

I played football with Bertie Bassett yesterday.

He had a sweet left foot.
