Sooooooo i swim quite a bit but fancy a bit of open water swimming as iv never been to an organized event,any info about sat morns nothwest people? Mucho grasias

West Midlands

Used to work with a lady form an organised Triathlon club and they used to do open water swim events in Manc area, perhaps find your local Tri club and ask them OP?

I used to work on the Quays and it used to happen some weekdays too (we sat and watched on occasion when it was quiet!). Dunno if that's still the case though as in all fairness it was a lil while ago.....

Let us know how it goes. We have a river club that meets every weekend even in Winter. Looks fun.

Yes,have been for years.

I live close to the sea, usually start beginning of may through until October.

Although I have just had about 18months off swimming due to a shoulder injury.

Lakes are by far the coldest things to swim in.

Well go for it but unless you are acclimatized to ow swimming sans wetsuit

Then it's going to feel very cold.

I've seen fish with 3 eyes in the water at Salford quays you're very very brave to dip in it.
