Programme - Photoshop

I have Photoshop installed on a laptop and would like to install it onto another pc - without the disc - as missus sin has put that in a really really safe place, so never to be seen again

I have been told that copying some programmes from your pc onto a disc for re-installing elsewhere is not possible ?

Any help would be appreciated.

An installed program is usually not in a format to be copied to another pc. So your out of luck there. Best find the original disks or download a demo version and use your product key.

You should be able to copy the entire folder, probably in program files, from one pc to the other. you'll need to manually create a shortcut on your desktop, and it will ask for unlock code. most programs will copy across okay like that.

but unless the install executable intalls the prog it wont work ...if you are running it over a network it will so the prog runs on origina l machine but i understand the op wants a fresh install on a second machine to do that he will need the disk

My guess would be it also depends on which version of Photoshop you have as well as all the rest of it.

Anythign up to Photoshop 7 will copy across but anything from CS2 onwards will need the product key to make it install on another machine.

By the way, don't ever try to register it if it is a cracked copy or Adobe wil have your ass in court faster than your little legs will carry you! They are incredibly litigous !!

Bet you took your car back to the garage and complained that your expected to fill up the tank regularly, after paying thousands of ponds for the car.

I've always used PaintShopPro and never had any probs with it. Easy to use and easy to crack.
