Hello fellow kinky humans. I have a query...Quite apart from the fact that these 'legal notice' codas I keep seeing on people's profiles are about as legally binding as marshmallow handcuffs. What exactly is the beef people seem to have with Sydney University in particular? Is someone doing a dissertation on the inappropriate use of capitalised text in profile blurbs?

Apparently years ago Sydney university were doing a study on swinging or something, don't know if it's true but the disclaimer is meaningless.

It's complete and utter bollocks invented by some idiot who thought he could overrule the laws of copyright and break the T's and C's of sites he signed up to by posting dumb disclaimers quoting random U.S. commercial laws.

Your pics are your copyright by default unless you explicitly sell them/sign them away. Even Facebook doesn't steal them. Just has a licence to use them forever. On any website the binding rules are the terms and conditions you sign up with (and didn't read). Posting pseudo legal text has no validity and makes people look daft.
