"I have just brought a camera and really want to get into photography. I was just wondering if anyone around the Peterborough area would be up for a photoshoot. Completely free of charge of course. I need the practice and I know how expensive shoots are so someone could get some decen photos of themselves or then and a loved one or with kids or whatever really. I just need practise shooting living things and my kids are getting bored haha Send me a message of interested and we can talk. Thank you" Join the local camera club.

"When you are learning what you are doing, a model will be more of a hinderence than a help. If you are not confident with your camera or what you want to achieve, you will be much worse when someone is waiting for you to tell them what to do. Try honing your craft of still lifes to start with, then try something like photographing smoke. When I started I was self taught, learning what I could from magazines and books. These days there are plenty of youtube videos, websites and forums to help you to improve." this I was shooting cars planes trains trees buildings dogs cats for three or four years before I started to shoot with models and then one of them was my mrs who already knew what she was doing

"You want to "get into" photography but you think you're up to doing shoots for people? There's a bit more to it than point and click " But practice and practical, will always work faster than reading and studying. Why not start shooting first? Learning from mistakes is where you begin in life.
