carrbrook stalybridge

What's the point in having them they do nothing for traffic flow as most drivers routinely ignore them a blindly enter not knowing if they can exit the other side .one today clearly knew they would be blocking the crossing just shrugged and pointed at the car in front when the lights changed grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Depending on where you are traffic cameras will fine you if you're in one when the lights change

London is especialy heavy on them.

on the road to nowhere in particular

There are plenty who have found them to be enforced by cameras who have found out exactly what the point was

Redditch

Was going to say they work very well when there is a camera is on them. Chiswick where you join the A4 there is a box camera it takes over £300k per year.

Wish they had them in Birmingham and Red light cameras too.

Do not enter the box unless your way is clear

That goes for driving too

NW London

They are there to keep the junction clear when the traffic light changes. You cannot stop in a box junction unless you are making a right turn. Under pain if heavy fine.
