topping book, screw the roses bring me thorns..other books and the website into all that..its a journey into who you are as a dom first and foremost..your style your sense of self/ support and responsibilities then your preferences your skills/ capabilities.lastly its finding a match imo

Having a vivid imagination probably wouldn't be the way to go !! Extremely confident with a clear view of what you require of your sub to be would certainly be a good start. Gaining experience over time meaning starting off with baby steps to find your likes and wants as a dom. Looking at your profile and pics you already have a firm base to becoming a supreme dominatrix good luck on your journey xx

I think it's really quite simple. I switch so know and understand the sub side & also the dominant side if it. You need to find a sub who your attracted two and have similar kinks and fetishes with. After that, arrange a coffee and your away!

Has anyone mentioned? that domination is not something taken but what a submissive is willing to give. The stronger person in a ds relationship is the sub to have the strength too willingly kneel and be subservient to another

Don't get me wrong as a Dom I take pride in what I do. If you'd truly like to step into the role of a Domme concentrate on aftercare and your attention to fine detail really listen to the sub that chooses you not only will they tell you a lot verbally but also with body language and little quirks they have. Become good at reading the moment. So many think domination is about self gratification and forget we play with trust which can be so fragile

There are a number of things you can do, read as Suzy444 mentioned, to get some ideas watch porn based on Doms and use your imagination.

If you are fortunate to meet some one, make sure you communicate with each other,develop a relationship based on trust and as already mentioned development over time and with experience.

Having been both a sub and a Dom I can assure you once you start to experiment and develop your role it is very rewarding for both parties!

Some great advice above, only other things to suggest would be find out if there are any Munches local to you - they're purely social meets for BDSMers where you can meet, socialise and swap ideas with like minded people. Only other thing would be to seek out another Dom/me who might be willing to take you under their wing to swap ideas with, or even maybe let you sit in on a session or two to get a flavour for play, and maybe pick up some ideas along the way.

That's a great idea Me G and one which I would love to follow through on.

I have seen a Dom in action but at the time was more focussed on the sub and wondering if I could take that role. I decided that I couldn't fully submit to someone.

I did watch the relationship they had. That was mesmerising. She knew her sub so well and she genuinely cared for her. It was quite an epic relationship they had.
