That kids immune systems sense when your going to have your first night out in months.

Mine seem to. Tonight was supposed to be my first night alone since before xmas.

Was planning on spending it with a special friend.

So on or my children's immune system decided to go on strike!!!

Instead of going out for the first time in 4 months I am dealing with vomit.

Now some of you might say well thats a selfish attitude when you have a sick child. And yes you are probably right. But sometimes you need a night off from being mum, cleaner, accountant, homework supervisor etc so that you can recharge your batteries, let off steam and be a better parent.

Oh well onwards and upward they say. roll on July maybe I'll get the chance then.

Dont get me wrong I'd rather be home looking after him than leave him when he is is ill.

But was looking forward to giving myself a pampering before getting glammed up and being in adult company for the night.

So tired of the everyday jeans and jumpers and t'shirts rubbish.

We're right there with ya! Last Sat night was the first night we've had out on our own in two years since littleun was born. Felt wierd coming home and him not being here though.

Yeh when my 3 are not here its very odd. But I find that I am more relaxed with them when I've had the chance to relax. Unfortunatly that hasn't happened since december.
