Can you keep a secret?

When a person tells you something in confidence would you keep the secret or would you tell someone else? What your experience?

It depends what the secret is. If someone confessed to a gruesome murder I would tell somebody.

If someone put their trust in me I wouldn't break that trust.

Yes, unless someone else is at risk if I keep the secret, I'll keep it.

I've kept some fairly big ones for many years, all of which would have serious implications for other people if I told.

If the persons trusts me to empart a confidence then only right I respect that confidence. After all I'd exspect the same in return.

With the same proviso about legalities, I can keep secrets for life. Being trusted like that is a privilege.

I will always keep it to myself. But on the other hand my sister will tell everyone, so she is a good source for family information.

Only keep it if I have agreed to do so before they tell me. I feel it's unfair to burden someone with keeping a secret without giving them the option to not know.

I am however extremely discreet, and seldom share personal information even if it is not a secret.
